Engineering Details

Six key engineering systems that define PF30 performance and reliability.

Nitrogen Gas Accumulator

Compact sealed nitrogen chamber smooths hydraulic pressure pulses, protecting the mini excavator's hydraulic pump and reducing heat build-up during continuous operation.

Auto-Lube Greasing Port

Single-point greasing port compatible with automatic lubrication systems. Correct greasing every 2 hours extends chisel bush life beyond 600 operating hours.

Tie-Rod Construction

High-tensile steel tie rods clamp all major components into a rigid assembly — no welded stress joints. Withstands the high-frequency impact loads of compact breaking work.

Wear-Resistant Front Head

Front head machined from high-chromium alloy steel (HRC 50–54). Replaceable chisel bush keeps maintenance costs low — no need to replace the entire front head.

Idle-Blow Protection

Pressure-sensing idle-blow cut-off stops the piston within 0.3 seconds of chisel contact loss, preventing blank-fire damage that is especially destructive in compact-class breakers.

Compact Low-Profile Design

Reduced overall height and narrow body profile allows the PF30 to operate in confined spaces — basements, narrow trenches and indoor demolition sites inaccessible to larger breakers.

Excavator Compatibility

Verified compatible excavator models in the 1.5–4 tonne class. Always confirm auxiliary flow and pressure before ordering.

Application Gallery

Six primary application sectors where the PF30 delivers proven performance.

🏙️

Urban Demolition

Selective demolition in confined urban sites — basement walls, indoor slabs and narrow-access structures where larger breakers cannot operate.

🪨

Light Rock Breaking

Breaking soft to medium rock, frozen ground and compacted sub-base in trenching and foundation preparation work.

🌿

Landscaping & Hardscaping

Breaking concrete paths, garden walls, paving slabs and decorative stone in residential and commercial landscaping projects.

🛠️

Utility Trenching

Cutting trenches through concrete, asphalt and rock for water, gas, electrical and telecommunications utility installation.

🏗️

Renovation & Refurbishment

Interior demolition of concrete floors, walls and structural elements during building renovation and refurbishment projects.

🌾

Agricultural Breaking

Breaking rocky ground, irrigation channel preparation and removal of old concrete farm structures in agricultural settings.

Installation Guide

Six-step commissioning procedure for the PANDA FORCE PF30.

01

Verify Hydraulic Compatibility

Confirm mini excavator auxiliary flow (20–40 L/min) and working pressure (100–140 bar). Check back pressure does not exceed 15 bar at the return port.

02

Mount the Bracket

Fit the correct pin-on bracket to the excavator arm. Torque all mounting pins to manufacturer specification. Fit lock pins and safety clips.

03

Connect Hydraulic Hoses

Connect pressure and return hoses to the breaker ports using 1/2-inch BSP or SAE O-ring fittings. Purge air from hoses before pressurising.

04

Grease the Chisel

Apply NLGI Grade 2 lithium-complex grease to the chisel shank. Initial greasing: 8 pumps. Ongoing: 2 pumps every 2 operating hours.

05

Set Hydraulic Flow

Set excavator auxiliary flow to 30 L/min and pressure to 120 bar for initial commissioning. Adjust within the specified range for optimal performance.

06

Functional Test

Test at low pressure (80 bar) for 5 minutes. Check for leaks, abnormal noise and correct impact rate. Increase to working pressure once satisfied.

🇯🇵
Japan
Obayashi Corporation — Urban Utility Renewal
Excavator: Kubota KX040
Challenge: Replacing 1960s concrete water mains beneath a busy Tokyo residential street. Strict access limits — only a 1.8 t swing radius allowed. Previous pneumatic tools were too slow.
PF30 on KX040 completed 120 m of trench in 6 days — 3× faster than pneumatic methods. Zero damage to adjacent utilities. Noise levels within Tokyo residential limits.
Duration: 6 days

Kier Group — Listed Building Renovation
Excavator: Yanmar SV26
Challenge: Removing a 1930s reinforced concrete basement floor inside a Grade II listed building. Vibration limits of 3 mm/s PPV to protect the historic structure above.
PF30 operated at 800 bpm low-impact setting. All vibration readings remained below 2.5 mm/s PPV. Floor removed in 4 days with no structural movement recorded.

Fulton Hogan — Rural Road Upgrade
Excavator: CAT 303.5
Challenge: Breaking weathered granite outcrops along a 4 km rural road widening project in Western Australia. Remote site with no equipment support within 200 km.
PF30 ran for 8 weeks with zero unplanned downtime. Idle-blow protection prevented blank-fire damage during irregular rock surfaces. Chisel bush replaced once at 650 hours.
Duration: 8 weeks
